Top Five Moments – 2021

The perfect time to look back on 2021

With Santa trying to work out where we put the chimney on our latest project, we thought it was the perfect time to look back on our Top 5 Moments from 2021.

No 1 – The addition of a new team member at Mason Developments.

We were delighted to be able to welcome reinforcements this year to join the Mason team.

Some were a great help, like our marketing and development teams. However, the addition of a newborn to the team seemed to make everything more complicated and from there the rest of the year is a blur.

A definite highlight, though, and a big thank you to Nicky, Nick and Nicole for the year

No 2 – The Fairfields Completed

Just before the two-week pause in the construction industry that gave a bunch of blokes the chance to don some high vis and go walking up the West Gate Bridge, only to come back down again, something much greater was achieved as we finished The Fairfields.

It’s always with some trepidation that we wait to see how interior and exterior designs will come together and, with a project that always sought to be bold like The Fairfields, it was exciting, with a bit of relief, to see it all come together so well.

No 3 – Albert Heights Takes Flight

As the planning permit came through for our new project in Lilydale we wondered what the response would be once we completed our designs and took them to market.

Thankfully, these five individual homes with their own separate gardens nestled in the hill overlooking looking Lilydale have proved more popular than Squid Game!

We can’t wait to get stuck into the construction of these in 2022!

No 4 – Healesville Begins!

A project that took longer to get started than Peter Jackson’s Beatles documentary, it was great to see ground being broken and welcoming new owners to our project

The three individual homes set in the leafy township of Healesville have been in the wings for a while, but it’s great to see them take centre stage and to have such a special spot to get out of town and visit.

No 5 – Our First Child Care Open Day and Sale

In April we celebrated with KingKids Hallam at their first open day at their latest childcare centre (completed by us).

It’s been great to see a whole community grow up around the centre and within a couple of months we had someone wanting to be part of this community and purchase the centre, which we accepted.

We were sad to say goodbye as the centre owners, but we’re looking forward to working with KingKids again on their next new centre and another great open day!

Things we’re looking forward to in 2022

1.  The Zoom meeting becoming a complement than the only the option for catching up with people

2.  Welcoming new residents at Healesville and Lilydale

3.  More sleep
